Penelope works with independent artists and midscale companies, celebrating a diversity of voices through new writing, artist development, community-focused initiatives and hybrid production.
Producing credits include: Company Producer at Popelei, a female-led Latinx theatre collective presenting PUSH (digital) 2021 Winner Best Experimental Short at Cult International Film Festival, finalist OFF FEST Best Online show; PUSH tour including Edinburgh Fringe supported by Pleasance. Producer, Link In My Bio an original, immersive opera currently in development supported by Britten Pears Arts and Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg, selected for the inaugural enoa opera creation journey. Seed Bank by Jess Moore, writer-director and HBO One Fifty Artist; Hamlet co-production Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company and RADA.
Significant fundraising roles at the Royal Court and RADA led Penelope to freelance consultancy; most recently supporting Tamasha Theatre Company, championing global majority storytelling through community-focused practice, new writing, digital innovation and the renowned Developing Artists Programme for Playwrights, Directors and Producers.
Penelope’s first play She’s Just Something That’s Happening was longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Playwriting in 2021; she is a member of the London Playwrights Development Group and The Writing Farm collective.
