Josh Barrow

Josh is an actor and writer from Newcastle and has written four scripts for the stage. Two of the four stage scripts were developed and produced by the theatre company Gutter Street, of which he is the co-founder.

Josh has served as a Dramaturg for numerous scripts including work with the Royal Court. His play ‘Sweet Heathens’ was longlisted for the 2022 Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting. Josh was the 2017 NationalChampion of TriForce’s Monologue Slam after competing with a self-penned piece.

In partnership with Birdie Pictures, Papatango has commissioned Josh to write a short-film for production - to be released in 2024.
